Faculty Bulletins Jessica Holland, Grades 6–12 Fine Arts Teacher, announced, "is just in from Jessica and Andrew: Beatrix Bryce Cavanaugh Holland was born at Columbia Presbyterian this morning (November 2, 2017), at 10:20 am. Seven feisty lbs and 4 frisky oz." Births 0 5 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L ■ S P R I N G 2 0 1 7 – 2 0 1 8 Sarah Gouge, Grade 4 Teacher, tells us, "In January, Mrs. Gouge's family welcomed Waffles, a 10-week-old corgi mix into their home. Waffles enjoys snuggling, sitting in windowsills, chewing her toys, and running really, really fast. Waffles' sworn enemies include the bathmat, baby gates, and treat containers." Catherine McIntyre, Lower School Physical Education Teacher, welcomed her first child, Patrick Francis Karol on February 1st. Beatriz Rodriguez, Middle School Spanish Teacher, was appointed President of the Board of Trustees for Bergen Arts and Science Charter School. Daniel Sepke, eatre Technician & Building Support, completed an AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) course this past November. e trade association, AVIXA, is recognized worldwide as the leading AV professional credential, with more than 11,000 CTS holders. Janie Slavens, Grades 6–8 Drama Teacher, directed and co-wrote an adaptation of a children's theatre play for the Harlem Children's eatre Festival last May. John Liepold, Grades 9–12 Music Teacher and Department Chair, had the honor of conducting the venerable Blue Hill Troupe's performances of Gilbert and Sullivan's Yeomen of the Guard. e combined ensemble of 80 performers (cast, chorus, and orchestra) featured Trevor parent Dena Cubbin as Phoebe. ese Yeomen performances were the world premiere of G&S scholar Colin Jagger's new edition of Yeomen, just published by Oxford University Press. At the 2018 Intercollegiate Men's Choruses National Seminar in Washington, D.C., John Liepold led a session on repertoire for High School Men's Choirs. IMC is an international association of university, community, and secondary choruses. Liepold is past president of IMC, and is currently editor of the IMC Library, a rich repository of original and unpublished works for men's voices. Jim Roche, Grades 9–12 Science, tells us, "I got married on November 11th to Dr. Shemsi Prinzivalli."
