While Trevor students, faculty, and staff joined families and friends this past anksiving, both the East and West Campuses were sites for a new and established traditions. For more than two decades, an Upper West Side resident and Trevor neighbor has used the kitchen in the Andrew Goodman Building to prepare anksgiving meals for local families in need. is neighbor is always joined by scores of friends and families, starting in the early hours of anksgiving Day to bring this monumental gift to fruition. And, for the first time, on the East Campus, Trevor was honored to host staff and volunteers from Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center— who, starting at 2:00 am, assembled for over 12 hours, to cook and serve a anksgiving meal to 120 elderly residents. ey also prepared anksgiving dinners for distribution by Citymeals on Wheels to more than 400 homebound NYC residents. Assistant Head of School, Daniel Feigin, forged this partnership. He and Executive Director of Operations, Lisa Lanzi, represented Trevor on anksgiving Day, as did members of the facilities team—all of whom helped to support the Isaacs Center and Citymeals on Wheels in their efforts. We were thankful to be in the position to share our facilities and be a part of of bringing sustenance and joy to city residents in need—so much so that Trevor did the same on Christmas day. School News e Gift of Giving on anksgiving A Most Valuable Player in a Championship Year Trevor's Girls Varsity Volleyball Team had a phenomenal fall season, with an incredible 16 wins to only 2 losses, to capture the NYCAL Regular Season Championship. ey ended the season ranked sixth overall in the New York State Association of Independent Schools (NYSAIS). It was also their first time ever to win the Trevor, Dalton, Brearley Invitational Championship. With their 3–0 win at Columbia Prep, the Dragons earned their bid to the NYSAIS State Tournament. ey also won the Team Sportsmanship Award this season! To make an incredible season even more impressive, Rebecca S. '19 was named NYCAL Volleyball MVP for her amazing contributions. She was the captain and all-around team leader, and even led the team in kills. With her ability to attack from both the front and back rows, Rebecca was a constant threat to the other teams. Congratulations on an amazing season!
