When the Varsity Track Team posed for a group picture, they parodied 300, the 2006 epic period action film based on Frank Miller and Lynn Varley's comic series of the same name. Both are fictionalized retellings of the Battle of ermopylae during the Persian Wars! week, these were truly some of my most memorable moments. I had a passion for dance prior to attending Trevor, having attended the Harlem School of the Arts for several years. But it was the staff, Kirstin Spielman and Laurie Roth, as well as my classmates at Trevor, who challenged me, and bolstered my capabilities, both as an artist and a choreographer. All of Trevor's extracurricular activities taught me how to be a collaborator and team player—important character traits that continue to serve me very well today. What advice about the workplace, or life ahead, do you have for current Trevor students? e advice that I would like to share with current Trevor students is to never give up on your life goals and aspirations. Trust the "process" and your life's path because, at times, life will have some strange twists and turns. In the midst of disappointments, tribulations, and challenges, stay the course, persevere, stand! Members of the Class of 2007. In everything that you do in life, always follow your North Star; never compromise your core values and beliefs for expediency, or to be accepted. Don't let anyone be any kinder to you than you can be to them! Be empathetic and caring toward others—it results in an improved society. Always try to build people up, rather than tear them down. And finally, rather than seeing the glass as half empty, always try to see the glass as half full! It is optimism that will allow you to stand the test of time.
