Celebrating Our Diversity is year, althoughTrevor parents couldn't dance and dine together at the World Party, we continued the tradition of celebrating our diversity by cooking together with the launch of the Trevor PA Travel-the-World Culinary Tour Evenings. What started as a weekly series in November, now continues as a monthly event; each month, a different Trevor family prepares a favorite dish that reflects their heritage or culinary preferences. us far, we've had parents—ranging from home cooks to professional chefs—preparing dishes from the Caribbean, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Orleans, and Southeast Asia. Not to mention a virtual wine-sipping session! Expressing Our Appreciation On December 9th, to express our gratitude to Trevor's faculty and staff for their commitment and dedication to our children and the entire Trevor community, the PA organized a Sweetery NYC food truck to provide sweet treats to all faculty and staff on the East and West campuses. ose faculty and staff working remotely received a Starbucks gift card so they could also enjoy a sweet treat! On May 20th, the food trucks returned, this time serving breakfast and lunch! Each faculty and staff member also received an Amazon gift card to further demonstrate the PA's appreciation for all their hard work. Showing Our School Spirit Starting in 2018, a small but mighty group of dedicated PA members began partnering with the Marketing and Communications team to produce, market, and sell Trevor Spiritwear. eir partnership has produced such favorites as our camo joggers, Adidas joggers, and Game of rones-inspired Mother of Dragons tee. In 2020, getting the online Trevor Spiritwear store (https:// trevordayschoolspiritwear.square.site/) up and running was paramount so that the community could easily access Trevor gear and showcase its school pride. e latest 2021 news is that through the Bridge program, we collaborated with Trevor senior Lev Kotlyar on the design and marketing of new Trevor Spiritwear. Celebrating the Winter Holidays in the Lower School On December 8th, Lower School families participated in a PA-organized virtual holiday-themed baking and decorating event. Trevor mom and owner of Good Dee's, Deana Karim, led the fun event and donated all the baking mixes. Enriching Our Minds With travel suspended and still curtailed, we have been relying on books to take us to the places we love or have always wanted to visit. Every month, during the school year, a group of Trevor parents gathered for a virtual PA book club, enjoying books that explore different time periods, cultures, and places. Keeping Our Grades Connected roughout the year, PA reps promoted community within their grades by organizing informal family gatherings for Halloween, morning walks in Central Park, virtual game nights, Zoom cocktail evenings, and WhatsApp grade-wide group chats. 1 5 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L n S U M M E R 2 0 2 0 – 2 0 2 1
