Class Happenings: 1980s–2000s Nolan McFadden '89 Nolan performed a show in November 2021 entitled Strings Around e World. He described this event as "a musicology presentation running through a selection of chordophone instruments from each of the major families— lutes, harps, and zithers." He also provided a brief history of each instrument before conducting a musical demonstration. Nolan currently lives in Southern California where he teaches music through his business MusiQwest Education. Molly Jong-Fast '92, P'26 Alum and Trevor parent to 8th grader Darwin G., Molly took time in December 2021 to meet virtually with the staff of the Trevor Times, a student-produced journal. Molly shared her experiences as an author and editor providing advice to the students on using agency and voice, as well as tips on how to approach publicists and editors with work for publication. Congratulations to Ian and the whole Chustek family! Gabi Strasfogel-Ryklin '02 Gabi and her husband, Misha, announced the birth of Olive Valentina on November 11, 2021. Olive joins sister Charlie in the family, and Gabi hopes "that CT is ready for #teamryklin!!" Congratulations to Gabi and the whole family! Sarah Schoemann '02 Pamela Hare, an alumni parent, wrote to tell us about her daughter Sarah Schoemann, who received her PhD in Digital Media this summer from Georgia Tech, and joined the Computer Science Department at the College of Charleston as Assistant Professor. Sarah also heralded the opening of the Critical Art and Technology Lab (CAT Lab), a project she spearheaded at the college during the fall semester. Pamela sent us a great note with the news, and shared this kind assessment of Sarah's time at TDS: "She was in one of the first classes where Trevor had the students own personal Toshiba laptops to 3 7 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L n W I N T E R 2 0 2 1 – 2 0 2 2
