Alan Walls '79 Alan Walls '79 has a feature article about him in the upcoming edition of SHE EXIST Magazine and had the feature's promotional billboard shown in Times Square! John Gill '80 John Gill '80 writes the "Streetscapes" column for The New York Times, unearthing the hidden biographies of historic New York City buildings and their occupants. He is the author of The Gargoyle Hunters (Knopf), a critically acclaimed novel that includes scenes set at The Day School in the 1970s. His "Streetscapes" article titled "A Tiny House in Manhattan Has a Link to the Underground Railroad" was selected as THE GREAT READ on the front of the digital NYTimes. The house, built in 1809 in Tribeca, was the former home of Underground Railroad leader Reverend Theodore Wright. The article details Reverend Wright's history as an abolitionist and discusses the likelihood of his home being used as a hiding place for enslaved peoples en route to New England and Canada. You can find the full article online published on August 28, 2022. 50 / TREVOR MAGAZINE WINTER 2022–2023
