Donna joined The Day School faculty in 1979 and remained at Trevor until 2007. During those years, she served in a number of important teaching and administrative roles including Dean, Foreign Language Curriculum Coordinator, Foreign Language Teacher, and World Language Department Chair. In 2007, she answered the call to become Lower and Middle School Director at Lawrence Woodmere Academy where she served until 2014. In 2015, she returned to the school she loves as a Middle School World Language Teacher, and even became Interim Head of Middle School when Rebecca Damas was on leave. For the last six years, Donna has been Associate Director of Middle and Upper School Admissions where she has done equally outstanding work. Donna is the consummate educator and colleague. Her dedication to Trevor and her support of our school have been an inspiration to me and so many other of her colleagues. She has also been a sought- after advisor to students and parents—here at school and through the admission process. I have trouble envisioning our school without Donna Linton's presence. Please join me in both congratulating and thanking Donna for her many, many years of service to our Trevor students. We wish her well as she opens the next chapter in her life with her family and grandchildren. Scott R. Reisinger Head of School, Emeritus As an Admissions Ambassador, I have had the privilege of working with Ms. Linton since 6th grade. Her ability to connect with students, especially those new to the Admissions Club, has been vital to the program's success. As a role model, she encourages students to hold the same appreciation for Trevor and its programs that she does. She often says that fostering students' excitement about being a part of Admissions is one of the most cherished aspects of her role. Her leadership also encourages students to take an active role within the Club. I, like many others, jumped at the opportunity to apply for a leadership position. This fall, despite busy senior year schedules and commitments outside of the Club, the Senior Admissions Club Leaders opted to meet before school to discuss plans for club meetings and ideas for improving admissions events. Ms. Linton's willingness to accommodate the needs of those around her, despite the potential inconveniences, indicates her commitment to the Club and its success. Apart from her leadership inside and outside the Club, Ms. Linton's calming presence encourages students to ask questions and use her knowledge as a resource. During the peak of college application season, I often visited Ms. Linton's office for advice. Before my very first college interview, I stopped by to see her. After giving me helpful tips from her perspective as an interviewer, she finished by saying, "You have all the tools you need." Her ability to provide advice and reassurance helped me throughout my time at Trevor, and her presence will be sorely missed.
