– Feature Article – Full Circle: In Conversation with the Head of School Introduction and Interview by Juliet W., Class of 2026 Nine years ago, when I was in 1st grade, I was chosen to interview the Head of School. I was six years old at the time. While I didn't fully know what I was doing, I was certainly intrigued by the opportunity. I loved talking to adults, and I was especially fascinated by Mr. Reisinger, whose stories transfixed me from the minute he arrived at Trevor. He instilled a culture of kindness, intellectual curiosity, and inclusion into the fabric of Trevor Day School. I am so honored that, almost a decade after our first interview together, I was given the opportunity to sit down with him again. As he enters his next chapter of life, I'm certain he will continue to inspire those around him; his legacy will be inseparable from the Trevor name. Now, with nine years of Trevor wisdom, can you tell me something that you learned here in your time as Head of School? SR: I have learned so much. I learned how good a school can be. I learned about how challenging things could be at certain times, particularly during COVID. And I learned that if you have the right team of people—and I did have the right team of people—and a team committed to the mission of this school—we can achieve anything. That's how we've achieved all that 34 / TREVOR MAGAZINE SUMMER 2022–2023
