body supporting this promise. And we have a superb group of teachers and staff committed to bringing this promise to fruition for our children each and every day." Trevor's enrollment management efforts have included strategic planning to address changing markets, expanding socioeconomic diversity through an increased tuition assistance budget, and consistently meeting budgetary goals in order to direct fundraising efforts to long-term fiscal health. Prioritizing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Engagement was another pillar of the 2016 Strategic Plan. Staffing was key in these efforts, and under Scott's leadership the first appointments of part-time DEI practitioners took place, followed in 2021 by the hiring of Trevor's first Assistant Head of School for Inclusion, Equity, and Community Affairs. Furthermore, crucial school climate data was gathered through the NAIS Assessment of Inclusivity and Multiculturalism. Armed with data and greater staffing, more programs, curriculum, and affinity spaces could be offered, including the N–12 Mosaic curriculum, the addition of Mini-MIOW for parents (N–12), and the Students of Color Affinity group. Community-wide annual signature DEI programming was also introduced, as well as an inaugural educational and cultural legacy HBCU (historically black college and universities) trip. All of these efforts have led to an even greater sense of belonging for more community members, and the percentages of both faculty and staff of color and students of color have risen substantially. Our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Engagement also included becoming a focal point for service in the neighborhoods and communities of which Trevor is a part.
