Albert Berishaj, Fourth Grade
Head Teacher, became a father.
His son Roman was born on
July 7, 2023, weighing 7lb 13oz.
Congratulations to Albert and his
family!
Stephanie Nelson, Assistant Director
of Lower School, was married
on July 14, 2023, at Blue Hill at
Stone Barns in Tarrytown, NY.
All five of the bride's and groom's
kids—Addie, Ryan, Ella, Jack,
and Chase—were a part of the
wedding as was their beloved dog
Heidi, who walked down the aisle
with Chase.
Bryanna Matschiner, Kindergarten
Associate Teacher, was married in
Houston, TX on July 2, 2023.
Lisa Goldberg, Director of Auxiliary
Programs, was on the planning
committee for the NYSAIS
AfterSchool Directors Conference
in November 2023 and facilitated
the after-school sessions with
AfterSchool Directors from NY.
She also met with other division
directors to offer ideas to build
their after-school programs.
Session topics included the
range of after-school classes,
vendors, leadership, how to
handle student behavior issues,
registration systems, budgeting,
communication, hiring and team
building with staff, and much
more. Lisa continues to help
organize local meetings for the
NY AfterSchool Directors.
Sylvia Burian, Director of Human
Resources, became a grandmother
to Gemma Estelle on July 31, 2023.
