She wrote Eating from Our Roots: 80+ Healthy Home-Cooked Favorites from Cultures Around the World, published by goop Press last year. She is co- host of Well, Now Slate's new wellness podcast series. Maya has also been named Salad and Go's first-ever salad nutrition officer. "I've learned from my patients that having access to affordable, nourishing, tasty food not only feeds them in the moment, but also creates sustainable routines that are supportive of managing and reducing the risk of developing chronic conditions or other health challenges," says Ms. Feller. "I respect Salad and Go's bold work to address issues of access in our food system. Together we are breaking down the barriers and saying people shouldn't have to compromise on delicious, nutritious food that's also convenient and affordable." Congratulations, Maya, and keep up the great work! David Magier '98 David Magier '98 is the co-founder and COO of Branching Minds, the only teacher-first multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) platform. Branching Minds was recently honored by the Tech and Learning Awards of Excellence: Best of 2023, and received a growth investment from Bain Capital Double Impact. In the small-world category, the lawyer who helped close the deal with Bain is current Trevor parent Sara Werner P'31! Derek Kelly '99 Derek Kelly '99 recently moved to Houston, Texas and shared, "I started as chief of staff for the Harris County Democratic Party (HCDP) this past October." Based in Houston, it is the third- largest county in the country and is bigger than 25 states. He is working hard with his team to do everything to ensure Harris County goes deep blue in November and to try to win Texas. Derek hopes you will check out what the HCDP is doing at www. harrisdemocrats.org and consider donating! He lives in Houston with his wife Lauren and his 18-month-old son Baer and is trying hard to adjust to living in a swamp and surviving without the subway!" Thanks for the update, Derek, and best of luck on your new venture. 70 / TREVOR MAGAZINE FALL 2024–25
