A Letter from the Head of School Dear Trevor Community: As we celebrate 95 years of Trevor Day School, it's a moment to reflect on the enduring spirit that has shaped our community and propelled us forward. This year marks a significant milestone, and it's impossible to recount our journey without acknowledging the many programs and traditions that have become Trevor's heartbeat—a heritage that evolves while staying rooted in the values that define us. Take, for example, our Homecoming celebrations (p 18), which bring together generations of students and families. Or Experience Trevor (p 24), an event that invites parents, grandparents, and alums to step into the rhythms of our daily life and experience the impact of Trevor educators. And then there are our cherished Choreolab (p 26), plays (p 20), and MiniTerm musicals (p 30), all of which serve as platforms for our students to discover their talents, collaborate, and tell stories that span generations. Athletics has also played a pivotal role in shaping our identity. Countless Trevor athletes and coaches have engaged in many thousands of hours of practices and competitions, taking the lessons they learn on the courts and fields out into the world. In this issue, I had the pleasure of writing about my years as a teacher-coach, and the powerful symbiosis I see in so many Trevor teacher-coaches (p 40). Their dual role exemplifies our commitment to holistic development— nurturing both the mind and the body—and their leadership in athletics continues to shape our students into strong, disciplined individuals who know the value of teamwork and perseverance. We take immense pride in our long-tenured faculty and staff, who carry Trevor's 95-year history with grace and passion. With more than 30 current faculty and staff members serving for two decades or longer, the legacy of those who have dedicated themselves to our students is a testament to the strength of our community. These educators are not mere custodians of our traditions; they are pioneers in their own right—always encouraged to innovate, grow, and adapt in ways that best serve our students in an ever-changing world. In this issue, we spotlight two such educators—Tom Cutrofello and Lisa Goldberg—whose combined service of over 50 years at Trevor speaks to their unwavering commitment to our school's mission. I encourage you to read Faculty Habitats (p 46), which highlights their roles as educators and mentors and gives a glimpse into the spaces they've cultivated for both themselves and their students. As we kicked off this milestone year, we were thrilled to gather with alumni at our inaugural Alumni Brooklyn Gathering. It was a reminder of the deep ties that bind our past to our present. And with the success of our first-ever Alumni Networking Night, we're excited to continue building traditions that foster lifelong connections and opportunities for our alumni to give back to the next generation of Trevor students. Of course, a celebration of our history would not be complete without recognizing individuals who have gone on to make a mark in the world. In this issue, we're proud to profile two exceptional alumni whose journeys from Trevor to global success are nothing short of inspiring. Daisy Spencer (p 48), a trailblazer in the arts and culture scene, continues to be a beacon of creativity. Daisy's time at Trevor helped lay the foundation for her impactful work today. We are so proud of how she's using her music (touring the globe with Olivia Rodrigo) to bring joy and resonance to the world and role model a strong and resilient musician for the next generation. Hugo Lindgren (p 52), whose name has become synonymous with success in media, has carried the lessons he learned at Trevor into a storied career. From his early days at The Day School to his leadership roles in journalism, Hugo's journey reflects the intellectual curiosity, ingenuity, and integrity that we strive to instill in our students. I want to express my deepest gratitude to all of you—students, faculty, staff, alumni, and families—who have been part of the Trevor story. Community is what makes us so special, and as we embark on the next chapter of our history, I am excited about the future we will continue to build together. Here's to the next 95 years! Thank you, Trevor Nation. Daniel Feigin, '84, P'26 Head of School TREVOR DAY SCHOOL / 3 INSIDE TREVOR TREVOR TRANSLATES FEATURE AR TICLES ALUMNI
