A Letter from the Head of School Dear Trevor Community: As I walk through our hallways each morning—from the Lower School's joyful bustle on West 88th Street to the purposeful hum of the East Campus—I'm struck by the small, everyday moments that reveal the heart of Trevor. A student holding the door for a friend. A teacher crouching beside a desk to help unravel a challenging problem. A parent stopping me on the sidewalk to share a moment of pride or gratitude. These quiet exchanges remind me that Trevor's strength has always lived in its relationships. This school year, as we continue celebrating Trevor's 95th anniversary while also looking ahead to our centennial, I find myself reflecting on the countless individuals who have shaped our community—those whose impact is felt not only in the lasting traditions we uphold, but also in the subtle ways they've touched the lives of our students. One of the great joys of my role is reconnecting with our alumni, whose lives continue to inspire us. Whether they are artists, scientists, journalists, educators, entrepreneurs, or community visionaries, they carry Trevor forward in remarkable ways. Their stories affirm what we believe so deeply: that an inquiry-driven education not only prepares students academically, but also teaches them how to navigate the world with curiosity, integrity, and purpose. As you will read in this issue, we are proud to spotlight three alumni doing just that as a doctor, a professor, and an industry leader. I have the privilege of hearing from alumni who still remember the class project that opened a door they didn't even know existed, or the teacher who steadfastly believed in them. I think often about faculty and staff who have dedicated decades of their lives to this school. Their loyalty and love are the threads that run through these pages and through generations of Trevor students. When I see a longtime teacher reconnecting and championing a former student at an alumni gathering—or a newer faculty member bringing fresh, student-centered ideas to an established program—I'm reminded how beautifully Trevor holds both continuity and change. And of course, our current students are writing Trevor's next chapter every day. They surprise me constantly— with their questions, their compassion, their willingness to take risks, and their belief in one another. Whether in a musical, a genetics project, a student-led hackathon, or a hard-fought game, they show us the promise the next generation brings. I have so much for which to be grateful: for the warmth and openness with which our families partner with us; for our trustees, who give generously of their time and wisdom; for our faculty and staff, who show up each day ready to challenge, encourage, and care for our students; and for Trevor alumni, who embody what's possible when a child is truly known, supported, and inspired. 2030 is just around the corner, and I can't wait to start planning our 100th Anniversary with you!
