U P P E R S C H O O L Designing the Future at Trevor As the world evolves, so must our educational initiatives and curriculum. Guided by this belief, Trevor Day School is continuously advancing its programs to meet the needs of 21st-century learners. Building on our signature programs in Global Studies, Health & Wellness, and Environmental Studies, we are now expanding into technology and innovation to ensure students are prepared for an increasingly digital world. In 2025, Trevor was awarded a $100,000 Edward E. Ford Foundation Grant—matched by a $200,000 philanthropic gift—to create an inclusive East Campus Makerspace that supports AI-driven professional and curricular development. Beginning this 2025–26 school year, the Upper School launched Making Space, an interdisciplinary course that designs this new community-centered makerspace and explores the many facets of innovation. Values at the Center: Inclusion, Sustainability, Community Impact & Student Agency This makerspace will bring to life core values of inclusion, sustainability, community impact, and student agency. Designed as a technology hub for the entire Trevor community, it will welcome students from every grade. The space will also emphasize responsible creation through mindful material use and sustainable disposal Trevor Translates: Making Space for Trevor's Next Signature Program by Ella Xu, Marketing and Communications Associate and Making Space Teaching Team Member 28 / TREVOR MAGAZINE WINTER 2025–26
