character study, or something more experimental, I want it to feel fresh and captivating. Trevor: Can you tell us about your work on Train Dreams? Will: Fellow Sopranos actor Michael Imperioli sent me the book, and I loved it immediately. I looked into whether the rights were available, and that set off a process that took 11 years of development and production. It's a great example of where a story can take you when you really believe in it. Trevor: What kinds of stories are you most interested in telling, moving forward? Will: I'm interested in stories about outsiders, people who don't always fit neatly into boxes, and finding ways to tell those stories in unexpected ways. I'm currently developing a film about Darius McCollum, the infamous impersonator who commandeered NYC subways and buses. Trevor: What inspires you creatively outside of work? Will: I love being outdoors. This work requires a lot of focus and time on screens and reading, so getting out into nature, spending time with my dog, hiking, traveling, and seeking out new experiences help me expand my perspective. n 1. 7th grade Advisory photo from the Trevor Yearbook, Will is the Joker. 2. 8th Grade Graduation page from the 1994 Trevor Yearbook. 3.
