Our lives are chaotic at times, but we all figure it out together. Do you have any passions or hobbies that keep you busy outside of work? It's a bit of a joke in our family that my husband has so many hobbies, he makes up for the fact that I have none! My hobby is my family. I also love reading magazines, eating good food—I have a passion for good restaurants—and spending time with close friends. How long were you at e Day School and what's your fondest memory? I was at e Day School from nursery until 8th grade—the longest run you could have at the time. My fondest memories are: school assemblies for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, including locking arms and singing "We Shall Overcome;" trips to Putney, VT—one in particular, when we all ended up getting lice; becoming the captain of the basketball team (where else but e Day School could a 5'0" girl become the captain of a basketball team!); learning gymnastics with Mr. Cavar; playing soccer without sneakers; holiday concerts led by Mrs. Augustine singing gospel songs—I ended up joining the gospel choir at Trinity College because of my early love for this music; and the list goes on. e Day School gave me the foundation that shaped who I am today. I am driven by projects that have social justice at their core. at motivation came from e Day School.
