But the best part of it all is that we can do these things together. at said, finding the time to just sit and catch a good read can be pretty incredible these days. What impact did Trevor have on your life? Hands down, Trevor taught me to care for others. When I was there, I knew everyone and everyone knew me. at's not to say that I was friends with everyone or liked everyone, but we were all part of a community that cared for each other and that tried to care for the community outside our own, as well. How long were you a student at Trevor, and what's your fondest memory? As many say proudly, I was a lifer. I started at e Day School in Kindergarten and graduated from Trevor Day School as a senior. I have so many fond memories of my time at Trevor; there are too many to count. But when I think about those days, I think about my brother the most. We were one grade apart, which means we were on student council together and in geometry class together (yikes). He played behind me on the soccer field (I was number 8; he was 9), and we both wore number 23 on the basketball court. We were each other's biggest fans (and greatest enemies, sometimes). Every morning we would leave our apartment on 79th Street and walk to school, picking up other friends along the way. After school, we would wait for each other to arrive from an away game or some other activity, and we'd take the same walk home, dropping off friends along the route. e first two blocks in the morning and the last two each night, however, were ours. It was the only time when it was just us. We caught up about the day, recapped our games, and finished arguments—or better yet, decided to drop arguments altogether. ose times with him are by far my favorite memories.
