Adam Exline, College Counseling Co-Director, attended the National Association for Collegiate Admission Counselors convention in San Diego last fall. In addition to finding the educational sessions worthwhile, Adam saw them as a good forum in which to discuss best practices and the changing landscape of college admissions with colleagues from other high schools, colleges, and universities. He also visited several colleges in the area. Megan Hutchin, Grades 6–12 English Department Chair, completed her Master's Degree in English from Middlebury College in the spring. James McClintock, Grades 9–12 Science Department Chair, is working with a team from Johns Hopkins University to develop curriculum on sustainability and the food system. e curriculum aims to educate high school students about the full food cycle, from farm to plate. Its goal is to give students tools to be informed consumers, stewards of the environment, and more responsible global citizens. Nina Rosenblatt, Grades 9–12 History Department Chair, received a University of Chicago Outstanding Educator Award. She was nominated by Taylor Bachelis '15. Mara Simon, Lower School Physical Education, received her second Master's degree, an MS Ed. in Physical Education, from Teacher's College in May. Last February, she presented a research project, An Analysis of Physical Education Curricula from a Culturally Relevant Perspective, at the SHAPE America Eastern District Conference. She also completed her pilot study for her doctoral dissertation, focusing on critical issues of race, gender, and class within physical education. Laura Spalding, Grades 9–12 Spanish, received an HOLA (Hispanic Organi- zation for Latin Actors) Award for her work on El Barco Ebrio. Faculty Bulletins Marriages Michael Danenberg, Grades 6–8 Science, married Lindsay Richardson on September 5th. Lisa née Errera, Associate Kindergarten, married Rob Whitbeck on August 8th. Jackie née Maraziti, Grades 6–8 History, married Vince Monteleone on July 19th. Anna née Parthemos, Grades 9–12 Mathematics, married Niall Meechan on August 1st, in Larchmont, NY. Megan Hutchin, Grades 6–12 English Department Chair, married Kley Gilbuena on August 8th.
