Gabe Leibowitz '97 Real Estate Broker and Entrepreneur Above: Gabe and his son, Julian, at Coney Island last year; Gabe and his wife, Francesca; Warburg Realty's promotional card for their merger with Skygroup— Gabe poses with colleagues Dana Goldman and Kira Forman. I look back at my time at Trevor as my first exposure to what the real world would come to offer. My love for English materialized and my writing skills evolved under the tutelage of Trevor's excellent faculty—skills that continue to serve me well as a real estate broker and entrepreneur. My experiences at Trevor prepared me for what was to come in life and business— deep and lasting relationships, handling adversity, and a passion for finding my own way in life. To that end, I founded my own real estate brokerage in 2005 and have never looked back. We handled sales and rentals in Manhattan and Brooklyn, and I grew as a broker and person each year. I can thank Trevor for beginning to set the stage for so much of where I am today. I've watched markets fluctuate, preferences shift, and even witnessed a Trevor building on the market! rough it all, I've focused on imbuing my business model and approach with everything I stand for, and all that Trevor helped me form: a fierce work ethic, relentless pursuit of impeccable principles, patience, and a belief that every client deserves an equitable level of respect and attention. My team and I have always prided ourselves on these tenets, and they won't ever change. And now my life post-Trevor has come full circle. In June 2015, I merged Skygroup Realty with Warburg Realty— owned by Frederick Peters, father of Jack Peters '99, and husband to Alexandra Peters, who in 1997 signed my diploma as President of the Board! Some might call this coincidence; I call it destiny. I've already had the pleasure of working with several Trevor alumni, and consider it a special treat to do business with anyone associated with my alma mater: alumni and their families, faculty, or trustees. My parents still reside on West 89th Street, from where I fondly recall many walks to and from school. Every time I visit them or conduct business on the Upper West Side, I walk past the corner of 88th and Central Park West, cherishing the nostalgia it evokes and the warm memories this little nook of the city inspires. ank you, Trevor, for everything you've done for me and positioned me for. I look forward to hearing from anyone to whom I can be of service.
