A Letter from the Head of School Dear Trevor Community: In these pages we depict what's really important in life. ere is a complexity and richness in the Trevor community—and, by extension, every community we touch—which we see revealed in the stories and updates throughout this issue of Trevor Magazine. So many good things are happening here. All of it is indicative of a school that has matured into its noble mission: to prepare lifelong learners, leaders, and citizens of the globe. And indicative of an institution primed to fulfill its strategic vision to be the thought leader in inquiry- based education, led by a dedicated and expert faculty, in an environment committed to diversity, inclusion, and engagement with responsibilities beyond oneself. In these pages you will see the culmination of an inquiry- driven, idea-rich learning community in our Bridge program; collaborative and creative students navigating the Choreolab experience; responsible and engaged global citizens creating avenues for cultural exchange and service in Cuba; and so many students, alumni, and faculty who have the courage and compassion to lead as great thinkers and groundbreakers. Commencement is the fulfillment of all of these endeavors, shown here in the insight and gratitude of our senior speakers who represent the talented Class of 2017—all of whom have found their place in the finest colleges and universities throughout the country. Equally important is the joy of students finding their voices and becoming who they are meant to be. You'll read in our alumni profiles the important roles that Trevor and e 0 3 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L n FA L L 2 0 1 7 – 2 0 1 8 Day School have played in helping define the interests, character, and aptitude of young people since 1930. At its core, inquiry means not only questioning life and all of its dimensions, but also discovering our place through those questions. By that measure, and many others, Trevor has been exceedingly successful. Feast your eyes on the pages that follow. We'd love to hear your reactions. ank you for your support and involvement in the life of our school, which continues to advance our children's interests—and in so doing, improves the state of the world.
