Sasha Deutsch-Link '06 I graduated from medical school at Yale in June of 2016, and have just completed my intern year of residency in internal medicine at Penn. I LOVE residency here and have absolutely fallen in love with medicine. I really can't express how truly grateful I feel to have the job that I do. It is interesting, challenging, and dynamic every day. I am planning on specializing in liver transplant hepatology if every- thing pans out! I am currently studying alcohol-related liver disease and post- transplant outcomes. Outside of work, life has also been great. I got engaged to my now fiancé, Ben, last December and our wedding date is June 9, 2018. We met in medical school at Yale; he is doing his residency in OB-Gyn at Penn as well, planning to specialize in gynecologic oncology. We bought our first house in Philadelphia in May, and just moved in. We just outfitted our roof deck, which we love! We also have a wonderful dog-child, Luna, who is a 120-lb Great Dane. She was at the engagement party, which was held at the Philadelphia Schuykill River Dog Park.
