Pre-Kindergarteners visit an Upper School chemistry class and joyfully experience the magic of creating ice cream. As the teacher mentors the twelfth graders through the experiment, students learn by doing , and guide their younger counterparts through the hands-on exploration of science…and dessert! Within the Trevor community: n students figure out problems and arrive at new insights together. n the mood is vibrant and disciplined, the activity energetic and deeply focused. n we augment our classic curriculum by exposing students to the dynamism of unbridled thinking and diverse perspectives. n teachers position themselves around the perimeter of common spaces, modeling support and scholarship.
