from the co-presidents of the parents association Marianne Jones and Tracey Leitman is was an exciting year for the Parents Association and the entire Trevor community. It was a year of transition, as we made several changes to our events calendar—to which the community responded enthusiastically. As a result of the community's hard work and generosity, we were able to present the school with a check for $350,000 at the end of the school year. ese funds included proceeds from our annual auction, the Saturday Fair, and numerous PA initiatives held throughout the school year. THANK YOU for participating in our events, supporting our efforts, and strengthening Trevor! We held our annual auction on March 2, 2016, at ree Sixtyº in downtown Manhattan. With great views, amazing auction items, delicious food, and dear friends, we celebrated our wonderful children and their educational journey at Trevor. It was our honor to have this year's emotional appeal benefit faculty and staff professional development. anks to your support that evening, we raised $175,000 for this important initiative. A round of applause to Sandi Simpson and Lily Khaykina, our auction co-chairs, for their meticulous planning of this special evening. We look forward to working with all of you again for our upcoming auction and seeing you back at ree Sixtyº on March 1, 2017. is year, we bade farewell to our Fall Festival tradition and inaugurated our first annual Spring Fair. Taking advantage of the warm weather, our community came together on Saturday, May 14, to enjoy an indoor-outdoor carnival experience. A Gaga pit, climbing wall, bouncy houses, go-carts, and refreshments kept everyone busy on West 88th Street. Inside, the Lower School building was filled with games, activities, and fabulous fun. Beloved Trevor traditions, such as the 1st-grade bake sale, Silent Auction, Buy It Now, and teacher vendors were all there, as well as new additions. In particular, the photo booth added to the excitement and success of this spectacular day. e Fair could not have happened without the leadership and tireless planning of Susie Littwin and Beth Gannon, and the massive volunteer effort of parents. A huge thank-you to everyone for contributing their time and energy! We are already planning for May 13, 2017! We would also like to thank Elizabeth Weiss for her service as Co-President of the Parents Association. Elizabeth retired from this post at the end of June 2016, leaving an indelible mark on our community. Tracey Leitman succeeds Elizabeth. She brings tremendous experience and energy to the PA. Our goal as a Parents Association is to work with all of you and the school to ensure our children have an optimal environment in which to learn, grow, and play. Your continued support ensures that our community will continue to thrive. As we look forward to the wonderful year ahead, we feel so fortunate to be a part of the Trevor community.
