1. Dr. Seuss Art This started as a desk war in the 88th Street building, when Ms. Tang and some students covered my entire desk with Post- its. One day after school, Natalie Dworkin, Adam Kern, Sophia Panagiotopoulos, and Jay Rubin (all Class of '15) started decorating the Post-its and turned them into an awesome Dr. Seuss mural. I ended up laminating it with Scotch tape and hanging it on the wall. Now, it has moved with me to the East Campus. 2. Superhero About 11 years ago, James Malin '08 and Meggie Straw '08 found a computer program where you could make your own superhero characters and they made one for every science teacher. If you ask me, they really captured the way that I look in a lab coat. Sam Dworkin '15 added the balloon years later. 3. HELO Haiti 2015 This is a collage that Ms. Casey made to commemorate the first trip that we took to the HELO orphanage in Haiti. 4. HELO HAITI 2017 This is the photo book that we put together for last year's trip to HELO. Feel free to come by and flip through it! 5. Mr. Bones Everyone has skeletons in their closets. Mine is constantly looking over my shoulder. He might freak out other people, but I know that he isn't going to do anything…he doesn't have the guts…. (Groan!) 6. Sustainability This isn't mine, but I'll give a shout-out. One of Mr. McClintock's classes made a cool poster to show how sustainable our new 95th St. building is, including our geothermal system and composting. Did you notice that the word "sustainability" is in green? 7. Coloring is soothing. More art from students (these were by Chandler Carr '18). 8. Mess This is the chaos that is my desk. Albert Einstein famously said, "If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?" 4 5 6 7 8 3 2 3 5 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L ■ S P R I N G 20 1 7 – 2 0 1 8 Jeff Tam m Grades 9–12 Science Teacher and Advisor, Department Chair 1
