Births Carly Bickoff, Lower School Music Teacher, reports, "With hearts full of awe, gratitude, and joy, we welcome our son, Raphael Jacob Bickoff. He was born on November 8th, at 8:35 am, weighing 7 lbs 15 oz, and measuring 20 in long. All three of us are healthy, happy, and overwhelmed by the richness of this new experience." Liz Fishman, former Grade 5 English and History Teacher, gave birth to Sally Jane Fishman on August 28, 2020. Mom and daughter, who live in Mountain View, California, are both doing well. Weddings Gail Green, Kindergarten Co-Head Teacher, welcomed her son, Kevin Sean Green Jr., to the world on Sunday, January 31, 2020. She and her family—her husband, Kevin, and their daughter, Amira—are all doing well. Catherine McIntyre, Lower School Physical Education Teacher and Team Leader, and her husband, Mike, are thrilled to announce that Margaret Rose Karol was born on November 24, 2020, at 4:32 am. She weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and measured 20 in. Margaret joins her big brother, Patrick. e new family of four is doing great. Jennifer Olson, Grades 6–8 Spanish Teacher, presents Oln Jai Lohitsa, who was born on January 21, 2021. Oln weighed 7 lbs 5 oz, and was 19 in long. to read us. I thought I had fooled the kids into thinking that I was calm and cool. "And our school is even more than its amazing kids. e adults are there for each other, too. I've taught at six different schools, but even on stressful days, please count your lucky stars that you get to work here. Schools like this are few and far between." Leyla Hagihossein, Grades 6–8 Academic Support, told us about ISTE, the International Society for Technology in Education, a community of global educators who believe in the power of technology to transform teaching and learning, accelerate innovation, and solve problems in education. A member of ISTE since 2010, Ms. Hagihossein recently decided to become an ISTE-certified educator because of her strong interest and background in the field and her desire to continue to be a lifelong learner and bring her expertise to the Trevor community. ISTE Certification for Educators is an internationally recognized credential and involves taking part in 14 weeks of professional learning with a six- month portfolio application and review process.
