But that didn't affect enthusiasm or attendance, with the best alumni turnout ever! Eli Kengmana '15 was the first alum (of many, we hope) to join his former instructors and teach a class with them. (See opposite page.) RAVES FROM PARENTS "Simultaneously illuminating, rich, nourishing, and comforting." b "All three classes were fantastic, and subjects I was unfamiliar with. e teachers did a fantastic job involving the parents and making the classes interactive and fun." b "It's two days later, and I'm still talking about the short story with my kids; I looked up and printed out a poem I liked as a kid; and I'm looking to rent the movie we used in the cinema class." b "I wish we could take continuing education classes with your faculty!" TEACHERS "I loved having the prospective parents, and they seemed to really enjoy the experience! It's a nice way for them to learn along with our current parents!" b "e mixed constituency was great. It allowed current parents to discuss the joys of Trevor with the prospective parents." b "Every parent actively participated and was equally enthusiastic and engaged. It was a great time." b "It was fun to see alumni!" ALUMNI "Experience Trevor was a great way to see how Trevor has grown while staying true to its character. Classes in Hispanic cinema and Irish poetry facilitated by Laura Spalding and Jason Tarbath, respectively, were classic examples of how Trevor's teachers can spark deep and meaning ful discussion between strangers in less than an hour. ey invited us into intimate conversations of class, conflict, writing, and reflection while employing Trevor's classic Socratic style to challenge parents and alumni alike to engage with the material. At the same time, a coding class taught by Alyssa Gorelick skillfully combined Trevor's DNA of artistic expression and exploration with new STEM curriculum, reminiscent of Trevor's approach to the sciences and its digital humanities initiative." b "I attended the double session Understanding the Molecular World, which was a lot of fun. And it was really great to see fellow alum Eli Kengmana '15 join the faculty in teaching the class as well as explain the research work he's currently conducting. It's rewarding to learn what fellow alums are doing in a format that allows for greater depth of detail."
