August Makoff '19, Nix Makoff '21, and Greg Makoff AP '19, '21 Gregory Makoff, Alumni Parent '19 and '21, recently wrote with an update about August Makoff '19, and Nix Makoff '21. He shared, "Here is a photo from August's Ring Dance where they celebrate being allowed to wear their class rings for the first time. With Friday's graduation of the Class of '22, she is now a Midshipman 1st Class. She is well-positioned to do naval or marine air; service selection in the fall depending on how she does at marine training at Quantico this summer. Her class rank is high, and she's shown great leadership, so our fingers are crossed that she gets what she wants. Nix did very well their first year at SAIC. ey were very well prepared by Trevor for the academic classes, where they excelled in writing, and their drawing and other artwork has continued to flourish." anks for the update. Lucy Gilpin '20 Lucy Gilpin '20 earned the Dean's Award with Distinction at Colgate Kai Oishi '20 Kai Oishi '20 was named a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) Academic All-Conference honoree for Winter/ Spring 2022. To qualify for this status, student- athletes must be a sophomore, junior, or senior by academic standards with a minimum cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
