Shafi Rubbani '18 Shafi Rubbani '18 announced that he finished his thesis on the impact of childhood trauma and submitted it to Harvard University Faculty of the Committee on Degrees in Neuroscience. "I wrote a thesis on childhood trauma's impact on neural patterns of fear learning and self- harm behavior—so neuroscience, but secretly psychology, but really neuroscience. Eternally grateful to the Stress and Development Lab for teaching me everything I know about research and to my family and friends for inspiring and supporting me." Congratulations, Shafi! Maleah Rafaloff '18 Maleah Rafaloff '18 shared that in May she graduated magna cum laude from Marist College, with a BA in communication, double concentration in public relations and advertising, and a minor in psychology. She will continue her work at Marist next year, where she hopes to earn an MA in marketing communications by summer 2023. She wrote, "e past four years have given me many opportunities such as being a member of the Communication Honor Society (Lambda Pi Eta), interning at Marist College's Center of Social Media (where our paper received the Top Paper Award at the BEA of Interactive Media & Emerging Technologies Convention) as well as being a certified member of e National Society of Leadership and Success. Growing up together has been one of the most special experiences of my life. I have loved every moment from graduating college to starting to work together in New York to trying new restaurants to just watching TV on the couch. We have been through a lot, but I am so thankful that you have always been by my side, making me laugh along the way. You inspire me to be a better person every day.
