Faculty Bulletins Evan Feist, Lower School Music Teacher, was one of a few featured educators at the Nordonia A Cappella Festival in Ohio this past February—along with e Filharmonic (regulars on e Late Late Show with James Corden) and Deke Sharon (the Pitch Perfect film franchise, NBC's e Sing-Off). Evan ran sessions of his Creative Vocal Lab, a vocal improvisation workshop inspired by time spent with the talented polyphonic vocalist Bobby McFerrin ("Don't Worry, Be Happy"). In May, Evan was summoned to Long Island to help comedy musician Weird Al Yankovich as an audio engineer for his concert when the sound team at the Paramount in Huntington, New York was short staffed due to illness. At the meet and greet after the show, Al took a picture with Evan and thanked him. Additionally, Evan recently received an award for Best Score & Best Sound Design of a podcast. Courtney Krings, Lower School Head Art Teacher. As part of her ongoing art practice, Courtney exhibited her ceramic sculpture in a two-person show at the Ed. Varie gallery in May, and in July, she took part in Vessel, a group show at Hashimoto Contemporary San Francisco. Kate Linder, Lower School Art Teacher, and her husband, Peter Scaturro, welcomed a son, Luka Linder Scaturro, on March 27, 2022, weighing 6 lbs 6 oz, and measuring 20" long. ey've been lovingly calling him Sleepy Bones, a name suggested by one of the Pre-K students that has turned out to be very fitting! Clodagh McCloskey, Grade 3 Head Teacher, earned her second master's degree in Learning Variations from Bank Street. Clodagh will continue to develop an environmental studies curriculum for 3rd grade, which she began formally last summer—though as a reflection of her great passion for the subject, Clodagh has woven environmental content into her classes for years. e next chapter in this work will include developing additional, new science experiments, as well as evaluating materials used in common items and how they are chosen, and how the process of choosing them, has changed over time, and more! Clodagh is especially excited about this undertaking as she will assume the new role of Environmental Studies Curriculum Coordinator this fall. She can't wait to dig in! Pepa Muñoz Tarazona, Lower School Spanish Teacher, announced that Inés García Muñoz arrived Wednesday, June 1st. She weighed at 7 lbs, 5 oz.
