3 0 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L n S U M M E R 2 0 1 6 – 2 0 1 7 Hosted by members of the school's faculty, staff, and leadership team, our Roadmap is presented via webinar town hall events, each focused on a different dimension of our school: Academic Excellence and College Preparedness; Faculty and Teaching Excellence; and Financial Planning and Economic Sustainability. Academic Excellence and College Preparedness Our inaugural event, held in March and hosted by Adam Exline, Director of College Counseling, and Dacel Casey, Director of Community and Global Partnerships and Middle and Upper School Librarian, focused on the academic rubric and programs of distinction that elevate our students' intellect, skills, and character. At Trevor, we pride ourselves on offering a rigorous curriculum, while engaging our students in real-world contexts, and encouraging them to live balanced lives with purpose. In that spirit, Adam and Dacel described key curricular programs that provide our students with a superior level of focus, help them develop core skills, and offer robust opportunities to intentionally practice and apply learned principles across a broad range of topics. These programs of distinction include the following: Digital Scholarship At the intersection of computing and academic research in the humanities is digital scholarship, an interdisciplinary process that can be used to build new connections, encourage collaboration, and foster creative thinking. Some of the specific tools and technical skills that comprise digital scholarship are computer programming languages, web publishing, digital archiving, mapping and data visualization, multi-media tools, and data sourcing, among others.
