To support these efforts, we are fortunate to be well networked with a variety of scholars at New York University, Columbia University, and the City University of New York Graduate Center. To better illustrate the Digital Scholarship program at Trevor and its useful application in higher education, the town hall event included alumni testimonials from Bryn Stecher '19 and Avery Friedman '18. As an Environmental Science and Sustainability major at Barnard College, Bryn explained how the technical skills she cultivated as a Digital Scholarship student at Trevor is helping advance her scientific research abilities. More specifically, Bryn is harnessing her specialized skill set to redesign and remap the United States' green energy plan using data from the NOAA, NASA, as well as local municipalities. She credits the interdisciplinary ambition and coherence of Trevor's Digital Scholarship program to be a key factor in her college search process—Bryn has selected a school that is nationally known for its multidisciplinary studies. As a history major and legal studies minor at Washington University in St. Louis, Avery credits the Digital Scholarship program with strengthening his spatial and temporal reasoning, fostering his ability to assess matters from a macro perspective, and conducting in-depth research that sets him apart from classmates. Applying these skills in college, Avery created a virtual museum exhibit of Norman Rockwell's Four Freedoms, which continues to be used at Washington University to teach other students about that collection of iconic paintings. Environmental Studies In alignment with our mission to cultivate "leaders who act as responsible global citizens," Trevor is proud to announce the establishment of an Environmental Studies concentration to launch in the 2022–23 academic year.
