The Trevor Day School Cross Country Team The Trevor Day School cross country team had quite the 2022 season! New athletes gained their footing and made tremendous progress over the course of this fall, and some of our returning runners gave awesome performances and saw incredible results for their years of dedication. Newcomers to the team Daniel B. '25, Luke G. '26, Aahron H. '26, Sasha K. '25, Olivia L. '26, and Amelia W. '25 contributed not only their athletic abilities but also their incredible support of teammates. Returning athletes Charlie G. '25, Emma J. '24, Nate K. '24, Alara M. '24, Shadab S. '23, Neil W. '24, and Alexandra W. '24 led their team admirably, and saw a wealth of personal best performances. Charlie G. '25, attained a first-place finish in the very first NYCAL meet of the season! Alexandra W., a current Trevor junior, is of special note. Alexandra has long been finding success on the cross- country course in Van Cortlandt Park. After an impressive sophomore season, there was little doubt that she would be at the top of the field in the 2022 cross country season. Yet Alexandra still exceeded expectations, winning every NYCAL meet in which she raced. In addition to leading the league, Alexandra also put in competitive performances against athletes from all across New York State, placing 5th at the Collegiate School Invitational, and capping off the season with a top-ten finish at the NYSAIS championship. We are so proud of Alexandra for her remarkable achievements this season and commend all our athletes for their enduring dedication and spirit! — Hannah Perry-Zeik, Grades 9–12 Mathematics Teacher and Cross Country Coach n 18 / TREVOR MAGAZINE WINTER 2022–2023 18 / TREVOR MAGAZINE WINTER 2022–2023
