This year's team had a healthy mixture of players whose versatility and commitment propelled the Dragons into the overall standings. Determining Trevor's NYCAL title was the final match of the season: Senior Leo Sondik, playing number one singles, and Noah G. '27 and Max Turtz '24 numbers two and three, respectively, raised the stakes with focus and grit all season. In doubles play, the skilled duo of Adrian H. '26 and senior Julian Glickman played some tough and exciting matches, earning them a NYSAIS nomination, as well as a selection to play in the NYSAIS championships at Columbia. Unfortunately, they lost to a crafty team from Hackley, who eliminated them in the opening round. Indefatigable senior Conor Hogan brought his toughness and skill, while senior Evan Ostrander provided his finesse and humor. Varsity Golf Harold Chang, Upper School Mathematics Teacher, Mathematics Department Chair, and Varsity Golf Coach The varsity golf team had a successful 2024 season, with a 5–3 record in the NYCAL division. Throughout the season, the players worked on their swings on simulators at Five Iron, a new facility that uses state-of-the-art TrackMan hardware. The players also honed their on- course skills at Mosholu Golf Course, in the Bronx, where all league matches were played. On May 21, Charlie, Grant, William, Matthew, and Johannes participated in the NYSAIS Boys Championship, held at Hudson Hills Golf Course in Ossining. The next day, on May 22, Emma participated in the NYSAIS Girls Championship, also held at Hudson Hills.
