Molly Litvin '21 Molly Litvin '21 took some time from her studies at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Production and Design Studio and returned to Trevor to work with performing arts students. Molly figures prominently in this issue's feature article entitled "Quantifying the "A" in STEAM: What Role Does Arts Education Play in Trevor Students' Development?" Sydney Marx '22 Sydney Marx '22 brought us up to speed with her recent activity: "This semester, I had an incredible opportunity to be a part of Boston University AdLab. Serving as a strategist for Celebrity Cruises and Balboa Travel, Inc. has been incredibly enriching and the highlight of my academic career at BU. Through AdLab, I have advanced my skills in campaign strategy, client relations, and consumer insight research. I am excited to announce that I have received an AdLabbie award for "Best Campaign Strategy" and was nominated for the Grandlabbie award." Congratulations, Sydney! That's awesome. Keep up the good work. Barbara Burn Dolensek P'99 Alumni parent Barbara Burn Dolensek shared an amazing story: "My son, Philip Dolensek, who graduated from Trevor in 1999, recently received his copy of Trevor Magazine, and in looking through it, I found the alumni profile of Peter Wu-Buchenholz '85. I thought this a remarkable coincidence, because Peter's father, Dr. Bruce Buchenholz, was the one who introduced me in 1974 to Philip's father-to-be, the Bronx Zoo veterinarian Emil Philip Dolensek, DVM, when I became the editor of Bruce's book Doctor in the Zoo. The book was a finalist in the children's book division of the National Book Awards and was published in Great Britain, France, Germany, and Japan. Bruce was also the photographer for a book that Emil and I co-authored in 1976, A Practical Guide to Impractical Pets. Emil and I were married in 1976 and Philip was born in 1981; we remained friends with Bruce until his death, which was a few years before my husband passed away. This is the picture Bruce took of Emil Dolensek that persuaded me to publish Doctor in the Zoo, which is how I met Emil. There is nothing for you to do about this surprising coincidence, of course, although if you are in touch with Peter, you might tell him that there is a graduate of Trevor who owes his existence to Peter's father!"
