Experience Trevor:
The evening was
quintessential Trevor:
a thought-provoking
and illuminating
event in every respect.
How so?
A Look Inside the Inquiry-Based Classroom
Trevor parents suggested the concept.
An enthusiastic committee proposed
it to the faculty, who readily embraced
the idea of teaching a course—similar to
one on their roster that demonstrated
Trevor's inquiry-based learning in
action—to parents.
Soon there was a program with 14
Upper School classes, of which parents
from every grade level, Pre-K through 12,
could select two 35-minute courses.
A few classes "sold out" (some even
had waiting lists), but all the courses
were well enrolled, with an average of
nine students per class. More than 100
parents attended the evening.
After a festive opening reception, it was
time to get to class!
