ank You, Ólaf and Anna 0 5 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L n S U M M E R 2 0 2 1 – 2 0 2 2 On a warm evening in late May 2022, the Board of Trustees gathered on the East Campus Maya Lin Rooftop Garden to honor fellow trustee Ólaf Ólafsson for his long-standing service to Trevor. Joined by former board members, current administrators, and members of the Ólafsson family, Scott Reisinger, and Valerie Mnuchin, President of the Board, along with past Board Presidents MaryKay Coyle, and Sally Rocker, shared stories and expressed their gratitude to Ólaf for his dedicated commitment to the Board, the school, and the community-at-large. Ólaf and Anna Ólafsson joined Trevor in 1998, when they enrolled their eldest son Óli, Class of 2011, followed by Arni, Class of 2013, and their daughter Sóley, Class of 2022. Ólaf joined the Board of Trustees in 2009 and became Vice President in 2015. During his Board tenure, Ólaf served on numerous committees, including acting as co-chair to the head search committee that ultimately hired Mr. Reisinger. Ólaf helped to advance multiple initiatives that have expanded Trevor's reach and strengthened the school's financial standing and academic programs. Anna shares her husband's passion for service and worked tirelessly as a Trevor Fund Ambassador and Senior Gift Co-Chair, raising critical financial resources for the school. She also held multiple Parents Association roles, most recently serving as the World Party's co-chair. Leading by example, the family's commitment to Trevor has extended to the next generation. Óli and Arni are active members of the Alumni Association, and Sóley played a major role on the student council, as well as the Class of 2022's fundraising activities. MaryKay Coyle paid tribute to Ólaf, noting, "Not only did you and Anna express your belief in the power of a Trevor education by enrolling your three children here, but you went further—you selflessly served on the Board for 13 years. You brought your whole heart and head to your service." Scott Reisinger added, "Ólaf 's counsel, leadership, and friendship are immeasurable. Working with Ólaf has not only been a pleasure, but also a highlight of my career." As a token of the school's appreciation, Mr. Reisinger presented Ólaf with a Service and Leadership Award for his outstanding service to Trevor. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Ólaf and Anna Ólafsson for their years of tireless service and dedicated commitment to our community. Please come home to Trevor time and time again.
