Trevor's Global Education Program Trevor's Global Education Program offers students many ways to explore the world around them, building global awareness while learning about different cultures, histories, and experiences. Though this mission exists in the class rooms and through extra curricular offerings, Upper School students are also encouraged to further their learning by participating in at least one international offering through Trevor's Global Education Program. A recent example: a handful of Trevor Upper School students visited Oxford, England this fall to participate in the Round Square International Conference (RSIC). Round Square, an international network of 230 schools from 50 countries, held keynote sessions and breakout discussions focused on its six pillars or IDEALS: internationalism, democracy, environmentalism, adventure, leadership, and service. Students at Round Square schools are committed to addressing each of the six IDEALS through intellectual and cultural exchanges, service projects, and adventure activities. Round Square's overarching goal is to ensure the full development of every student as a unique individual through the simultaneous realization of academic, physical, cultural, and spiritual aspirations. This year's conference held a unique element: It ran during the passing of Queen Elizabeth II and the suc cession of Charles III to the throne. Such timing gave students a onceinalifetime eyewitness experience during an important historic time. In addition to an unforgettable conference, students enjoyed the lifechanging opportunity to learn, grow, and develop through Global Education. Haerat A. '24: This Round Square experience was surreal. It gave me a platform to be wholeheartedly myself while also getting to know many amazing people from all around the world that I wouldn't have been able to meet otherwise. This experience also allowed me to know the peers I went with beyond the classroom, which I believe will make our relationships stronger. This trip has given me so many awesome memories that I know I will continue to think about for years to come. Danah P. '24: Attending the Round Square Conference was amazing! I was able to connect with people, several of whom I know will be longlasting connections. I heard so many stories from multiple diverse perspectives— I'm so thankful that I was also given the opportunity to travel to London, and experience so many new things. Max T. '24: I never could have imagined how amazing it would be to attend a Round Square International Conference. The conference was an irreplaceable convergence of intellect, compassion, culture, and friendship. From historic sites like Oxford University to the friendships that were formed within a week, RSIC was truly an eyeopening experience. As rare as it is, interacting with students from all around the globe who have unique perspectives and cultures was something special.
