0 6 T R E V O R D AY S C H O O L n W I N T E R 2 0 1 6 – 2 0 1 7 James D. Marks James and his partner, Mark Scott, came to Trevor in 2007 and are the parents of twins in 9th grade. He is a graduate of Columbia Law School, Yale University, and Phillips Academy. During his tenure at Trevor, James served for three years as Chair of the Diversity Committee of the Parents Association. In 1995, he founded what was to become a world leader in the distribution of HIV/AIDS information, eBody.com. While creating eBody.com, James also invented and obtained three patents for systems that present on-line experts to conduct Q&A and to micro-blog. Before that, James was a volunteer lawyer for the American Civil Liberties Union. He represented the first-ever same-sex couple in the United States to be recognized mutually as the parents of their child through a reported judicial decision. He also negotiated the first-ever domestic- partner benefits program to be adopted by a large, private U.S. employer. Previously, James practiced securities law in New York City with Wien, Malkin & Bettex. He serves on the fiduciary board of the Family Equality Council. Paige Ross Paige and her husband, Marc Ross, came to Trevor in 2015. ey are the parents of a 10th-grade son and have two children in college. Paige is a Senior Managing Director and the Global Head of Human Resources at Blackstone. In this role, she oversees the firm's human-resource management globally. Paige brings more than 25 years' experience in talent development and strategic planning across a multitude of industries and geographies. Prior to joining Blackstone, Paige served as the Managing Director of Talent Management at Centerbridge Partners, with a focus on leading talent management across the portfolio companies. She has also held senior human resources leadership positions at Pfizer, Avon, and PepsiCo. Paige earned her BA at Stony Brook and PhD in Applied Organizational Psychology at Hofstra University. Bao Truong Bao and his wife, Linda Ma-Truong, came to Trevor in 2011 and are parents of two sons, one in 2nd grade and one in 1st. Bao is a Senior Managing Director at Centerbridge Partners, LP, which is a distressed credit and private equity firm with approximately $25 billion in assets under management. At Centerbridge, Bao oversees principally distressed investments across a range of sectors and geographies. Prior to joining Centerbridge, Bao was a Managing Director and Partner at Fortress Investment Group, LLC. While there, Bao was engaged in public market investments across the corporate capital structure, with a focus on distressed and special situations. Prior to Fortress, Bao was at Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. Bao graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Benjamin Franklin Scholar, with degrees in Finance (Wharton) and Computer Science and Engineering. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
